Spring Flag Football

Spring flag football is one of the fastest growing games in Canada, and the Westside Warriors have been a leader since the first season of play in BC.
5-on-5 flag football is a non-contact co-ed sport that consists of around 8-12 players

Spring Flag Football Details:

Spring Flag football is an excellent way for players to participate in football in a noncontact environment. If you have never played football before or you are a tackle football player, you will enjoy this program. The 5-on-5 league helps to teach & develop football skills, gets players familiar with the structure of football and is a great way to make friends & stay active!

Age Divisions

Standardized two-year age categories and designations are set by Football Canada and athletes must be UNDER the age on December 31st of the current year (ie. an athlete cannot play in the U16 division if they are turning 16 in that calendar year).

Age Groups for 2023:

U8 (Mini): 2016+ 2017
U10 (Atom): 2014 + 2015
U12 (Peewee): 2012 + 2013
U14 (Junior Bantam): 2010 + 2011
U16 (Bantam): 2008 + 2009
U18 (Midget): 2006 + 2007

Registration:

Registration for the 2023 Season is now CLOSED

Season:

March 28^th to mid-June.

Cost:

$249 per player. Fees include home & away jerseys, shorts & socks.

Game Shedule:

Games are scheduled by the Lower Mainland League and hosted by individual clubs. There will be 6 game day events “Jamborees” where teams play 4 games per event day.

Week 1 – 22nd April 2023
Week 2 – 29nd April 2023
Week 3 – 6th of May 2023
Week 4 – 13th of May 2023 (Westside Warriors @ UBC)
Week 5 – 27th of May 2023
Week 6 – 3rd of June 2023

Locations will be provided closer to the season starting. All teams will participate in the BCPFA Provincial tournament in White Rocks (dates to be announced).

Practice Days:

Mondays/Wednesday 6-8pm
Tuesdays/Thursday 6-8pm
